Phillip J. Luttrell
Phillip J. Luttrell, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2024, at the age of 76 in Brighton, Colorado, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born on June 9, 1947, in Denver, Colorado, to Joe and Virginia Luttrell.
Phil graduated from Brighton High School, Class of 1965. He continued his education at Colorado Mesa University, before honorably serving his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Somers from 1969 to 1971.
In 1974, Phil married his soulmate, Pam Rosenbrock, and together they embarked on a happy and loving life. They owned a Hobby Shop in Silverthorne, CO. Then Phil and Pam took to the roads, driving a semi-truck together for over 30 years.
Described as creative, gentle, and kind, he leaves behind his wife Pam, sister Jo and her husband Dennis, brother Pat and his wife Sue, a troupe of nieces and nephews, and a fan club of great-nieces and nephews, not to mention his in-laws Terree & Pat Arthurs, and Dianne & Del Schwab.
Phil's interests were as diverse as they were engaging. He was an avid camper and fisherman, often found traversing the mountains in his RZR. His hands were rarely still, as Phil was also a skilled woodworker, creating beautiful pieces that reflected his creative spirit.
His story does not end here, for his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched.
In lieu of flowers, Phillip's family would greatly appreciate that any donations be made directly too: http://rockymountainfisherhouse.org/ in honor of Phillip.
