Betty Anne Hurley, 79, of Fort Lupton passed away on April 6, 2019 at Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. She was born on June 24, 1939 in Denver, Colorado to Adam and Julia M. (Heit) Sack. Betty was a 1958 graduate of Brighton High School. She married Kenneth E. Hurley in May of 1960 in Brighton, Colorado.
A Colorado native, Betty lived in the Brighton and Ft. Lupton area all of her life. She sold Avon for over 30 years in the Ft. Lupton area. She was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church and a member of the Rebecca Lodge in Ft. Lupton. Betty was very active in her community, volunteering for the Ft. Lupton food bank and St. Mary’s in Greeley. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be truly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Ken Hurley of Ft. Lupton; sons, Lon (Margaret) of Greeley, CO, Don (Kim) of Colorado Springs, CO and Gary of Ft. Lupton, CO; daughter, Kathy Calhoun of Greeley, CO; brothers, George and LeRoy (Brenda) Sack both of Ft. Lupton, CO, Leonard Sack of Brighton, CO, Robert (Linda) Sack and Don Sack of Brighton, CO; sisters, Shirley (Stan) Elliott of Louisville, CO; Eileen Buckley of Broomfield, CO; Carla (Tom) Morrissey of Arvada, CO and Diane Schissler of Brighton, CO. Also survived by 7 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren
Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 2:00 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2019 both at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Brighton, CO. Betty will be interred at Elmwood Cemetery following services.
