Beverly Beth Willard January 8th 1929-March 24, 2018 Age: 89 Residence: Brighton

Lifelong Fort Lupton/ Brighton resident, wife, mother, and homemaker. Beverly Willard passed away on March 24, 2018, at the Avamere Care Center in Brighton, Colorado. Beverly was born in Fort Lupton on January 8th 1929, to Rollie Jacob Vincent and Elizabeth (Knous) Vincent. Her paternal grandparents, Asa Jenkins Vincent and Maggie Lee (Parsons) Vincent were also residents of Fort Lupton.

Beverly will be remembered by her family, friends and neighbors in the Brighton area. She thought of herself as a "people person" who loved entertaining, music, travel, cooking and her grandkids. Her Christian faith was her anchor and inspiration, which included a dedication to the United Brighton Methodist Church and her weekly Bible Study Sessions. John and Beverly were also active in the The Olde Auto Club and the South Platte Valley Historical Society. She was also a 4-h baking leader. She was a volunteer at the Platte Valley medical center for several years. She belonged to the Independence School Woman’s Club of Fort Lupton.

Beverly spent her childhood in Fort Lupton. She loved playing with the other children on 3rd Street, until her family moved to the Landell house on 1st and Park streets when she was 7. Beverly attended school in Fort Lupton graduating from Fort Lupton High School in 1946. Beverly then attended Colorado A&M (Colorado State University) in Fort Collins for a year and then attended UNC in Greeley another year. She married John Willard on March 18th, 1951. After they were married, they lived and raised their 4 children at the Willard homestead which in 2016 became a Colorado Centennial farm. The homestead was also the location of John's Meat, the family business, where Beverly was an integral part of the daily business.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, John Willard May 23, 1999; her parents; her son Rob, her daughter Valerie, her brother Raleigh Vincent and her sisters, Lucille Grothe, Mary Jolley and Clara Lee Martin.

Beverly is survived by her sister, Virginia Ruggiero of Arvada; her two sons, Brian Willard (Dana), Kevin Willard (Heather) and her beloved 9 grandchildren; Megan Arfsten, Mark Willard, Kylee (Mike) Deniz, Cortni (Casey) Kramer, Justin Arfsten, Katelyn (Colby) Reuter, Chance Willard, Lane Willard and Seth Willard.

A Celebration of Life service for Beverly will be held at 2 p.m. at the Alli Event Center, 100 South 3rd Avenue, Brighton, Colorado.80601. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Servants Serving Servants; is also in partnership with Vila Kenedi in Korca, Albania which is a Christian Nursing home, (the first of its kind in the country) that ministers the love of Jesus Christ to the elderly, particularly the indigent, in this predominantly Muslim and atheist country; or to the Brighton United Methodist Church, 625 South 8th Avenue, Brighton Colorado 80601.
