Hugh Francis Corbett

Hugh F. Corbett, 91, of Brighton, Colorado, passed away on December 15, 2017.

Hugh was born in Raton, New Mexico, on December 23, 1925, to Edwin and Mary (Patton) Corbett. Hugh graduated from Raton High School, in Raton, New Mexico and later joined the United States Navy. After an Honorable Discharge from the Navy, Hugh met Imogene “Jean” Hogsett. In January of 1951, they were married. To this marriage came three children; Michael, Mark and Kelly.

Hugh worked at a machinist and later in personnel at Gardner Denver/Cooper Industries and later at Rocky Flats. While at Gardner Denver, Hugh was very active in the local Steelworkers Union; serving as secretary and later president for multiple terms.

Hugh enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. He also had a passion for wrestling and loved the Broncos.

Hugh was preceded in death by both parents, his sister Lois Stutzman and brother Burt Corbett.

Hugh is survived by his sons; Michael (Lisa) Corbett of Atlanta, Georgia, Mark (Patti) Corbett of South Lake, Texas and Kelly (Sue) Corbett of Brighton, Colorado, as well as grandchildren; Dylan and Greer.
