Maxine Elsie Wagner

Maxine Elsie Wagner, 88, of Brighton, passed away July 24, 2017. She was born March 22, 1929 in Brighton to Emil and Elsie (Dittmer) Ehlen. She graduated from Brighton High School in 1947 and later married Henry Wagner Jr. on February 16, 1949 in Brighton.

Maxine was born and raised in Brighton and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hudson. She helped operate the family farm east of Brighton. She was a very hardworking individual and enjoyed being outdoors and keeping her yard looking nice. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, pitching horse shoes, playing cards and golfing. Everywhere she went she put a smile on everyone's face. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she will be greatly missed.

Maxine is survived by her husband, Henry, of Brighton; two children, David (Cathy) Wagner of Orchard and Patsy Wagner of Brighton; granddaughter, Laurie (Gary) Haffner; two great-granddaughters, Samantha and Sarah.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marcia.

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 10:00am at Grace Lutheran Church in Hudson. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
