Scott Hoffman Obituary

Scott Anthony Hoffman, 33, of Hudson, CO, passed away on January 29, 2019 from Glioblastoma; a malignant brain tumor. Scott was born on February 26, 1985 in Denver, Colorado, to Kevin Miller and Amanda Hoffman. Scott obtained his GED at the age of 16 and went to work full time with his dad as a roofer to help cover costs for racing dirt bikes.

Outside of work as a teenager Scott enjoyed going to his grandma Millers by Horse Creek Reservoir to fish and spending his weekends at IMI Motorsports Complex in Erie, CO.

After the passing of Scott’s father, Scott started his own roofing business called A+E Roofing in 2010. In 2014, Scott wanted to grow his business to include siding and decks to what he already offered. In 2016, Scott branched out even further by adding pole barns and changing the company name to Hoffman Building's. Scott was very personable and quickly became friends with multiple customers.

Scott first met his wife Lisa Weichel when they were in eighth grade and then reconnected in 2006. In the years between, Scott had his first child; Alyssa Larson. After reconnecting Scott and Lisa welcomed two boys Alyzha (2007) and Ethan (2009) The two married in 2011 and welcomed two more sons Kalem (2012) and Nehemiah (2017) Scott loved spending his free time with his family camping, fishing, going to drive-in's, and helping the boys with football.

Scott was preceded in death by his father Kevin Miller, grandfather Michael Hoffman, aunt Rita Brown, uncle Tommy Hutchings and great aunt Wanda Finstimaker.

Scott is survived by his wife, Lisa Weichel, daughter; Alyssa Larson and sons; Alyzha, Ethan, Kalem, and Nehemiah Hoffman. Additionally, he is survived by his mother; Amanda Hoffman, a brother; Robert Griggs, grandparents; Mary Hoffman, Barbara and Richard Miller, uncles; Scott (Terry) Hutchings, Danny Hutchings, Jerry (Jodie) Hutchings, Richard Miller, aunts; Tammy Hutchings, Kim Miller, Pam (Jim) Sullivan, Cheryl (Jim) Bouchard; and numerous cousins.

There will be a Funeral Service held on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., at the Fourway Baptist Church. 9966 CR 41, Fort Lupton, Colorado.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up to help two families in the community with serious medical conditions. Checks may be sent to the Scott Hoffman Memorial Fund in care of the TBK Bank in Keenesburg, Colorado.
