Wanda Ruth Ratliff

Wanda Ruth Ratliff, 71, of Brighton, Colorado passed away on February 26, 2018, In Englewood, Colorado.

Wanda was born on September 3, 1946, to Wilbur and Claudia (Mount) Freeman in Denver, Colorado. Wanda grew up in Brighton, attending local schools and graduating from Brighton High School in 1964. Upon graduating from high school, Wanda worked for United Bank in Brighton for thirteen years. During that time she met Charles Ratliff and they married in November of 1968. They had two children; Jeff and Brad. Wanda and Charles remained in Brighton and she worked at various jobs including the Brighton grain elevator, the Fort Lupton grain elevator and Manna Pro, before going to work for Blue Sky Catering. Later Wanda became self- employed, and she ran her own lunch truck in the Denver area for fifteen years.

Wanda was a marvel at anything she did, including crafts, oil painting and water colors. Known to her family as a tenacious competitor, Wanda participated in Softball, but more importantly was a supporter of her children and grandchildren in all of their sporting activities. Wanda was above all involved in spending time with and for her grandchildren. Wanda cherished family time and especially family time at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Wanda preceded in death by her husband; Charles her father and her brother Ed “Jojo”. She is survived by her sons; Jeff (Brenda) Ratliff, Brad (Alex) Ratliff, Daughter-in-law Tabatha Ratliff, Grandchildren; Tucker, Tori (Chris), Skylar, Hayden and Sebastian as well as her brothers; Bob (Jill) Freeman, Bill (Loretta) Freeman, Jim (Dorothy) Freeman.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00 pm on Monday March 5, 2018, at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home, 75 South 13th Avenue, Brighton, Colorado.
