Dale Leroy Froid

Dale, 83, of Brighton, Colorado, passed on October 11, 2019.

He was born October 6, 1936 in Fort Lupton, Colorado to Melvin and Verma (Lockwood) Froid.  Graduating from Fort Lupton High School in 1955, Dale joined the Air Force with five other classmates upon graduation.  Dale married JoAnn Mollendor on January 7, 1961 in Brighton, Colorado.  He worked for 20 years for the Colorado Department of Transportation out of Fort Lupton before retiring in December, 1999.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Donald Froid.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Mollendor Froid; children, Denise (Michael) Tyler, of Commerce City and Melvin (Darla) Froid of Brighton; granddaughters, Brittney (Evan) Fitzgerald and Morgan Froid; brothers, Roland and Lowell Froid; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services honoring Dale will be Thursday, October 24, 2019, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Tabor Funeral Home, 75 South 13th Avenue, in Brighton, Colorado with interment services at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, in Denver, Colorado at 2:15 p.m., gathering at staging area “C.”

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dale’s name to the American Heart Association, 1777 South Harrison Street, Denver, Colorado 80210.
