Gleede Skeen Obituary

            Gleede Sears Skeen passed  away peacefully with family by his side on August 1, 2019 in Brighton,CO. Gleede was born August 13, 1930 in Raton, New Mexico to Annie (Sears) Skeen and Silas Allen Skeen. He and Patricia Alta Brown fell in love and where married in 1973. Gleede was a father to three sons and three daughters and a father figure to countless others throughout his lifetime including his grand children and great-grand children. He was known to all he mentored as " Daddy Bear".

             Gleede was a very skilled mechanic most of his life including the time he spent serving our country in the United States Air Force for which he was very proud. He also was skilled in welding, painting, body and upholstery work that can be seen in all his projects, larg or small. He impressively drove a tractor trailer over a million miles with his time at Ferrellgas. Throughout the years Gleede kept his faith close to his heart and was a member of the LDS church for over 40 years.

             Gleede is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Alta Skeen, Grandson James and Granddaughter April Mae.

             He is survived by his sons, Gleede (Buster) Skeen, Ronald Skeen, and Robert Skeen. Daughters, Vivian Keeler, Colleen Hayes, and Annetta Skeen. Daughter-in-laws, Merri Skeen and Laura Skeen. Grandchildren, Heather, Savanna, Austin, Kayla, Cheyenne, Aaron, Hayden, Adam, Elizabeth, Jesse, TJ, Glen, and many Great-Grandchildren.

             

 Gleede fought the good fight and helped so many in so many ways. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
