Harriet Arlene Hein “Toots” age 81 of Fort Lupton, Colorado passed away peacefully on August 22, 2019.
Harriet was born on October 2, 1937 to Leroy and Vera Scuffham. She grew up in Wisconsin on a large family farm. She was one of 12 children.
Harriet will always be remembered for her selfless dedication and commitment to her family. She accomplished so much in her lifetime. She was a hardworking farm wife while raising a family.
Harriet is preceded in death by her spouse Dave Hein Sr., both parents, granddaughter Brenda and many other loved ones.
Harriet is survived by her 4 children, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many friends.
She loved working for the Branding Iron and Grannies Diner as a cook. She took care of her 2-acre farm in Fort Lupton with her husband and children.
The family remembers the wonderful German food that she prepared for them and will miss her cooking.
Harriet was avid collector of cow items and loved to watch Roy Rogers movies with Dale Evans and Gabby Hayes. She enjoyed crocheting blankets for her family and friends and collecting as much of Roy Rogers memorabilia as she could get her hands on. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her life was so full of love and joy due to her family and friends. One of her favorite memories was taking a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon. She spoke of this trip often and couldn’t wait to do it again.
The family would like to thank all her nurses from home care team for the caring help during Harriet's life end journey.
Thank you to the wonderful neighbors that kept a watchful eye as our Mom went out into the neighborhood on her frequent adventures.
There will be no formal services. She would want you to celebrate her life in your own way and remember her as the amazing person that she was.
We will hold you as close as we can longing for the day we see your face again but until then God needed another angel around the throne. Your love lives on through each of us and we are jealous of the angels around the throne tonight.
