James Eric Coulter

James Eric Coulter, or Eric, was born to Emogene Fletcher and Robert Coulter on March 15, 1962 in Highland Park, Michigan. He was the second born of four children. Eric passed away in his home in Brighton, Colorado on October 18, 2019, he was 57 years of age. As he grew up, his family travelled state to state following Robert through his ministry career. The Coulters planted in Colorado in 1963, where he spent most of his life. Eric attended Spring Vale Academy in Owosso, Michigan for high school and graduated in 1980. He moved back to Colorado following graduation, and began working in a variety of careers, including, but not limited to companies such as: Montgomery Ward, United Bank, the Federal Reserve, Alpine Bank, and finally UMB Bank. While at United Bank he met his loving wife, Jerri Melinda Perez in 1985, who was also his manager at the time. They were married in September 1986 and have been married for 33 years. Nine years later they would have their son, Daniel Jerome Coulter, in June 1995.

Throughout his life, Eric enjoyed the outdoors through camping and boating with neighbors and family. He travelled across the country on numerous road trips as a kid and as an adult. Eric always appreciated classic cars; he even tried to build a street rod once, but never quite had the time or money to complete it. His classic car hobby flourished when be bought a 1952 Chevy Pickup which lead to purchasing two more trucks and three cars over the course of his life. Eric was always proud of the way he could arrange three cars and a truck in a standard, three-car garage. All his hobbies and passions were shared with his wife and son.

Eric is survived by wife Jerri Coulter, son Daniel (Jocelyn) Coulter, father Robert Coulter, brother Jr. Coulter, sister Jill (Jeff) Rose, brother Alan (Anne) Coulter, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and in-laws Jerry (Della) Perez. He is preceded in death by his mother Emogene, grandparents, and numerous aunts and uncles.

A memorial service in honor of Eric will be held Saturday, October 26th, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home; 75 South 13th Avenue, Brighton, Colorado 80601. A reception is to follow at 4:00 pm at the Church of God Seventh Day; 9375 Gaylord Street, Thornton, Colorado 80229
