Jane Ann "Gray" Johnson

Jane, 89, of Brighton, Colorado passed away on August 27, 2019, a month shy of her 90th birthday.

Jane was born in Dodgeville, Wisconsin on September 27, 1929 to Theodore & Alma (Mongold) Gray.  She was educated in the Mineral Point, Wisconsin area.

Jane married Art Johnson on September 1, 1984 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Jane worked and retired in finance as a loan closer.  She also spent time after retirement working in retail at the mall in Castle Rock, Colorado.  In her free time, Jane enjoyed the fine details of quilting, crocheting, and knitting - she was handy with her hands.  She made quilts for her family.  She also had an eye for remodel and decor and enjoyed fixing up and painting all five homes she lived in.  Jane loved camping and visiting the senior center.  Her favorite, though, were the holidays - especially Thanksgiving and Christmas because it was time well spent with her immediate family.

Jane is survived by her husband, Art Johnson of Brighton, Colorado; children, Christine Coleman, of Lakewood, Colorado, Cheri Nieto, of Boulder, Colorado, Mary (Steve) Disch, of Lakewood, Colorado, Ted Schaaf, of Fort Collins, Colorado, Michael Schaaf, of Madison, Wisconsin; step children, Terri Peters, of Dallas, Texas, Lawrence Johnson, of Greeley, Colorado, and Sandra Broderson, of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren, Caroline & Levi Coleman, Pamela Hamlet, Jolene Collier and Jennifer Schaaf; step-grandchildren, Tylor, Matthew, & Trevor Johnson, Caroline Peters, Noah & Hunter Broderson; great grandchildren, Cole Wilder, Eliana & Adelynn Ordaz Coleman, Jayden, Jax & Russell Collier and Aria & Xavier Hamlet; great great grandson, Rylan Bradley; step-great grandson, Elijah Johnson; and brother, John Gray, of Madison, Wisconsin.

Services honoring Jane will be Sunday, October 27, 2019, beginning at 2:00 p.m., at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church Annex, 567 East Bromley Lane, Brighton, Colorado 80601.
