Lyle Lindy Muir

Lyle Lindy Muir, 91 years old, of Hudson, Colorado has now "gone west". He peacefully passed on September 5, 2019.

Born to Carl and Ella Mae Muir on December 25, 1927, in Midland Michigan, Lyle proudly served four years in the Navy. After leaving the service, he moved to Colorado. He owned and operated Lindy's Aircraft Enterprises, volunteered for many years at the Oshkosh Air Show in Wisconsin, and belonged to the Toastmasters Club.

He married Adeline Evanice on January 21, 1950 in Rhodes, Michigan.

Lyle is preceded in death by son, Richard Muir of Tennessee.

He is survived by son Donald Muir of Aurora, Colorado, sisters Myrtle Doehring and Loretta VanBocxlaer of Michigan, 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Following Lyle's burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery, a reception in Lyle's memory will be held at the Keenesburg American Legion, Post 180, on Thursday, September 26, 2019, beginning at 1:00 pm.  Donations in Lyle's name, may be made to American Legion Post 180.

They loved their old airplanes and gave to us their best,

And now have joined the squadron which is always heading west.

The squadron grows larger with the passing of every year,

But as long as Antique Field exists, you will find their presence here.
