Marcus Gonzales age 33, passed away at home in Fort Lupton with his mother by his side on Friday, October 11, 2019. Marcus was born on September 12, 1986 in Denver Colorado to Cynthia (Gonzales) Gossin. He began elementary school in Federal Heights, Colorado but later attended school in Fort Lupton. He graduated from Fort Lupton High school in 2004 and also attended some classes at Aims Community College in Fort Lupton. He was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy when he was 4 years old. Marcus never let his disability stop him. At a young age, Marcus enjoyed riding his bike, playing basketball, football and baseball until he was bound to a wheelchair at the age of 12. He continued his love for sports cheering on his Dallas Cowboys, Denver Nuggets and Colorado Rockies. He also later helped coach the Fort Lupton Blue Devils high school football team. As much as he loved his sports, he loved his family and friends even more. Throughout the many struggles in his life, he always had a great attitude and smile on his face that shined for miles. His great attitude and big smile became his trademark which has inspired an endless amount of people throughout his life. Marcus is survived by his mother Cynthia (Gonzales) Gossin, step-father Billy Gossin, grandparents Jim and Frances Gonzales, sister Francesca Watson, brother James Gonzales, nephew Donovan Gonzales and two nieces Jordan and Tristan Gonzales, uncle Carlos Gonzales and numerous cousins and friends.
Family and Friends are invited to Tabor-Rice Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 16th at 6:00 for a public viewing with recitation of the rosary at 7:00pm. Funeral Services will be held at St. Williams Catholic Church on Thursday 17th at 11:00am
