Albert “Jerry” Gray

Jerry passed away November 29, 2022, at the age of 85, in Greeley, Colorado after a 3-month battle with cancer. 

Jerry was born July 29, 1937, in California to Albert Gray and Reatha Jones. He was the oldest of 3 brothers: Gene, Ronnie, and Alan. He married Susan Saling in Las Vegas, Nevada Nov 25, 1956. They had 6 children: Terry, Karin, Joe, Tom, Rick, and Al. 

Jerry spent much of his life in California. He owned his own business, repairing batteries. Also, memorable – he worked on the Alaskan pipeline in the 70’s. He and the family moved to Colorado in 1978.

Jerry was an avid sports fan. He especially loved watching the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies. He also enjoyed watching old westerns. He loved animals, especially dogs - “Smokie” “Lady” and “Jettie” were 3 of his favorites.

Jerry enjoyed going to car shows with his brothers. He was especially taken with vintage red trucks.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Susan, daughter Terry, son Rick, 2nd wife Julie, and brother Ronnie.

Jerry is survived by 4 children: Karin (Todd) Shutt, Joe (Christine) Gray, Tom Gray, and Al (Sandy) Gray, stepdaughter Ronna Vigil, stepson William Bishop, 21 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, brother Gene (Flavia) Gray, brother Alan (Charlene) Gray, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Tabor Chapel on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 3:00pm.  A private family gathering will be held after the memorial service.
