Anita Louise Knago was born on July 3, 1951 in Hudson, CO. Her family soon moved to Brighton, where her father, Leo Knago was a builder and her mother, Elsie, was a full-time mom and homemaker. Anita graduated from Brighton High School in 1969.
Anita worked as a vendor accountant for Pepsi for many years; but her job was only to fund her real passion, which was arts & crafts. Anita was an artist, and she could turn almost anything into an art medium. She created floral arrangements, painted oils, had a ceramic studio, and was a Creative Memories consultant.
Anita's most recent interest was genealogy and she was currently serving as the Vice President of the Brighton Genealogical Society.
Her parents, Leo and Elsie, preceded Anita in death. She is survived by her friend and companion, J.R. Hildebrand, a sister, Claudia, a brother Cliff (Meline), two nephews, Dave and Steve(Lynette) Merich, three grand nieces, and two grand nephews.
Memorial Service will be Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 2:00p.m. at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home.
Tabor-Rice Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
