Arnetta “Susan” Thornton, age 85, passed away on February 26, 2020 in Thornton, Colorado. She was born on April 5, 1934 to Hugh and Nettie (Moler) Trembath in Grand Junction, Colorado and graduated from High School in Erie. She then married her husband Robert Thornton in Brighton in June of 1952, and they resided there for over sixty years.
For labor, Susan enjoyed working as a flower designer for Lahris Flowers and other florists which she did for over 10 years. She loved to sew and crochet and even tied blankets for her close family members. On her off time, Susan treasured the game of bowling, and you could often find her bowling at the old ABC Bowling Alley and Holiday Lanes. Susan was a respectable woman with many talents and will be missed by all of those whom knew her.
Susan is survived by three children; Two sons, Terry Thornton of Bennet, CO, Tracy (Ruth) Thornton, of Westminster, CO, and her daughter Theresa (Jimmy) Quick of Thornton, Colorado. Along with two brothers and two sisters, Carol Allen, Westminster, Colorado, Kenny Trembath, Longmont, CO, Jimmy Trembath, Erie, CO and Cherry McHolkic of Dacono, CO, along with nine grandchildren and fourteen, Great-Grandchildren. She is preceded in passing by her loving husband Robert who passed away in 2015 and by her son Timothy, who passed away in 2009.
A memorial service will be held in Susan’s memory on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 10 AM at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home, friends, family, and everyone whose life Susan touched are welcome to attend.
