August Abel Candelario was born on a farm in Brighton Colorado on December 8th 1951 to August Candelario Sr. and Dorothy Maldanado.
Abel graduated from Brighton High School, then was drafted and joined The Air Force during the Vietnam War. Abel became an airplane mechanic and got to travel during that time to all the different countries while he was serving his country. After the military He worked in the oil fields for Haliburton and Western in Brighton, he learned how to drive a heavy equipment truck and it led him to working at Safeway as a truck driver where he was for 23 years.
Abel loved the Colorado Mountains where he would do his fishing, hunting camping, ATV riding. Love walking his SIberian husky Kiowa to the dog park or to the rec center. He loved to go on family vacations loved to dance he loved wood carving some of his carvings were sold or given to family or friends but most of all he loved to go to church and serve and read his Bible and pray for everything and everyone.
Abel returned to his heavenly home October 7, 2021. After a valiant battle with a long illness. His devotion to his family and believe in God supported him in his struggles and ultimately gave him peace.
Abel is survived by his wife Theresa of 44 years and two sons Angelo and Mario. Brother Roger and sisters Gloria Martinez, Dorothy Padilla and Alberta Aragon; brother-in-law Steve and sister in laws Rachel and Phyllis and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by both his parent August and Dorothy Candelario and brother, Robert.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 15th at 11am at Orchard Church in Henderson followed by the Graveside Service at Elmwood Cemetery in Brighton. Reception to follow at the Orchard Church.
