Benjamin Probst Obituary

Benjamin Otto Probst

Benjamin Otto Probst (Benny Boy) was a beloved husband, father, son, uncle, and friend during his beautiful 42 years of life. He departed this world on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

Ben is preceded in death by his grandparents Kenneth and Dora Probst, Marcella and Celestine Seifermann, uncle Steven Mareck, aunts Glenda Probst and Madge Mareck, and cousin Joseph Mareck, father-in-law Russell Britting.  He is survived by his wife Dawn Bischoff Probst (Britting), sons Joshua and Kai Bischoff, and parents Gary and Patricia Probst (Mareck). He also leaves behind 3 nephews and 1 niece, and his dogs Hercules and Xena.

Born on November 13, 1982, Downers Grove, Illinois, and moved to Westminster, Colorado at the age of 6 months. Ben was the only son of Gary and Patricia Probst (Mareck).

Ben attended Northglenn High School and graduated the class of 2001. Dawn and Ben married in April of 2011.

Throughout his life, Ben had many hobbies. He loved video games, watching movies with his boys, camping, playing poker, relaxing at home, putting together puzzles, and any card game he could play. He also was involved in dog rescue and foster failed with his beloved dogs Hercules and Xena. Football was his passion. He loved his Sunday calls with his father Gary about football games. He loved his Broncos.

Ben was a devout believer in giving people 2nd chances, supporting his friends and family in any way he could. He would give anyone the shirt off his back. His love and kindness were a guiding light to those around him. He was funny and had a comeback for everything, just simply a big kid. Ben dearly loved and respected his two best friends (brothers to him), Chad Foos and Ryan White.

He was a beacon of light in the lives of many—always ready to help anyone with anything.

Ben's love extended beyond blood—he was cherished by so many countless close friends who became family.

His beautiful spirit will be missed deeply. His enormous heart will live on in all of us.
