Bernard “Rocky” McCain

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Rocky on November 27, 2023.

Rocky was born on August 30, 1955, in Midland, Texas. After spending his young years in Texas and Alaska the McCain family moved to Brighton in 1970. Rocky finished his schooling in Brighton and graduated in 1973. He started as a bag boy at Safeway while still in school and stayed until his retirement, 35 years later.

He worked a short time with the City of Greeley and the City of Brighton before full retirement. During those retirement years, Rocky enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and especially spending time in the mountain. Rocky was an avid music lover, and his impressive vinyl collection is a testament to that music appreciation.

Rocky is survived by his son, Andrew McCain; along with three sisters, Donna Bottorff, Rebecca Ball and Mary Harshbargar.
