Bruce Leipold Obituary

Bruce Alan Leipold

Bruce, 62, of Westminster, Colorado lost his battle to congestive heart failure and passed away at his home on the evening of February 25th, 2024.

Bruce was born to William and Patricia Leipold on January 13th, 1962 at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, New Jersey. He was father to his Daughters Lorisa Sandoval and Amelia Emmons, and grandfather to Jeremy Sandoval.

Bruce grew up in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey until he was 11 years old and the family moved to Colorado, where he spent the remainder of his life. He graduated from Littleton Highschool in 1980, and then attended Heavy Equipment Operator School where he received his Associates Degree. Bruce was a landscaper with a focus in irrigation and drainage, where he utilized his keen eye for structural landscaping. In the winter months, he enjoyed doing snow removal on the side.

Bruce was a man of many hobbies and enjoyed living his life to the fullest. He was a traditional outdoors man, enjoying mountain climbing and skiing in his youth. He thoroughly enjoyed camping and four wheeling in the mountains of Colorado, introducing his daughters to this passion at an early age. He loved his Harley’s and would ride his motorcycle every day that the weather permitted. He had a great passion for hands-on work and making things beautiful. Bruce always loved the art of production and took pleasure in doing sound and lighting at events for local artists. Most of all, Bruce enjoyed treating his loved ones to a good meal, including meals he cooked or dining across all of Colorado.

Bruce is survived by his daughters, Lorisa and Amelia; his grandson, Jeremy; his siblings, Linda Eakes, Bill Leipold and Gayle Booms; and many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Patricia Leipold; and his brother, John.

The Family will celebrate Bruce's life with a small family gathering in April
