Burt Charron Obituary

Burt was born in Wheat Ridge, Colorado on October 12, 1973 to Daniel Charron and LillyAnn Espalin and was the youngest of five boys.  He married his best friend, Annette Humphrey, on July 24, 1999.

In his younger years, Burt spent time perfecting ollies on his skateboard, BMX racing, touring with his band, and winning matches as a competitive kickboxer.

As an adult, Burt spent his life in the Denver, Colorado area working in custom fabrication.  He was especially skillful in taking ideas and creatively solving problems using precision metal work.  He was a union proud machinist and excellent at his craft.  He had been working at Stolle Machinery Company.

His talents far exceeded those of his career.  He was a master fly fisherman known in his circles as the “fishin’ magician”.  He loved tying his own flies and the BPM (Burt’s Purple Magic) was his secret weapon.  He called the streamside his church and felt closest to God there.

Being an angler was only part of his outdoorsman persona.  He loved hunting with his brother, good friends, and as a terrierman with his dogs.  While he never considered himself to be a hiker, he would trek for miles for mammal or foul.  He adored nature and was at greatest peace in the out-of-doors.

A true renaissance man, he was passionate about music and prided himself to be the utmost music snob.  He was an accomplished drummer and part of the Denver area punk rock music scene.  He enjoyed spending his time analyzing music techniques, form, and sound.  He would gladly pass hours with you with “watch this” or “listen to this”.  He wanted others to appreciate music the way he did.

Burt enjoyed causing mischief with a wicked gleam in his eye and is known by many as the ultimate rapscallion.  He was an adventurer.  He loved to travel – visiting many states and countries – and especially loved exploring without an itinerary.  He pursued racing in all forms – cars, motorcycles, or with his dogs in flyball or Jack Russell racing.

Burt met extraordinary people who all consider him a friend.  He shared amazing experiences.  He touched other peoples’ lives whether it was his sharp sense of humor or his ultra-classy and trend-predictive fashion sense.  Often referred to as Elvis, his hair was always coiffed and perfectly styled.

Burt is survived by his wife, Annette Humphrey Charron, mother LillyAnn Charron, brothers Brad Charron (Linda), Martin Charron (Ginger), Marc Charron, and nieces and nephews Eric Charron (Nisha), Brandon Charron, Nichole McGee, Michael Charron, Bess Rael (Zachary), Danielle Charron Wickins (Andrew), and many great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his Father, Daniel Charron, and his brother Brian Charron (Ramona).

A funeral service will be live-streamed at 10am on Thursday, January 21, 2021 from Good Shepherd Denver Catholic Church.  If you would like to contribute your memories, stories, remembrances, pictures, or phone video of Burt to include in his memorial, please email tmcclean208@gmail.com by December 31, 2020.
