Carolyn Kay Martinez died on October 3rd, 2021, at Lutheran Hospice in Wheatridge, CO, after a long illness. She was 81. Born in Iowa to parents Leo & Arla (Ibach) Grapentine. (Both deceased), also preceded in death was her former husband Rudolph (Rudy) Martinez of Boulder, CO

Survived by two sisters, Janice Cline of Cherokee, Iowa, and Renetta Moreno of Fort Colins, CO,

Carolyn is survived by 6 children, Diana (Terry Coffman) of Broomfield, CO, Nicholas (Carolyn Martinez) of Sacramento CA, Lieha (Clay Brown) of Broomfield, CO, Matthew (Maria Martinez) of Arlington, TX, Korina Martinez of Uless, TX, Trista (Josh Binger) of Lafayette, CO. Along by, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren

Kay was an avid sports fan. She loved her Broncos, Rockies, Nuggets, Avalanche, and the Texas Rangers. If she wasn’t watching sports, she was playing board games, video poker, and watching the game show network.

She will be sorely missed by those who loved her.

Carolyn’s family will have a celebration of life in the Spring
