Catherine Jeanne Lusk, known lovingly to family and friends as Cathy, passed away on May 10, 2026, in Denver, Colorado, at the age of 72. Born on August 10, 1953, in Pueblo, Colorado, Cathy lived a life filled with humor, faith, devotion, and a gift for making ordinary moments unforgettable. She had a way of walking into a room and instantly making people feel at ease.
Cathy was funny, loving, and deeply faithful. She could turn a difficult day into a funny story and a simple family gathering into a cherished memory. Her warm heart, quick wit, and steady spirit carried her through life with grace and a sense of humor that never faded. If laughter was medicine, Cathy was a traveling pharmacy with a first-class ticket.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Lusk, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and family. She was also preceded in death by her three older brothers, Rick, Bob, and Bill Conder. Though she outlived many she loved, their memories remained close to her heart and lived on through the stories and traditions she carried forward.
Cathy was a devoted mother to Chris, Ronnie, Shawn Lusk, and Charlotte Skinner. Her children and family were the center of her world, and she loved them with endless generosity, encouragement, and care. She was also blessed with eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy. She especially loved holidays and birthdays because they meant family, laughter, food, and togetherness.
Cathy spent many years working for United Airlines, where she earned the respect of those around her through dedication, reliability, and hard work. She believed kindness mattered just as much as responsibility and had a rare ability to bring humor and lightness to everyday life.
Traveling was one of Cathy’s greatest joys. She loved seeing new places, celebrating life’s moments, and spending time with the people she loved most. She believed life was about collecting memories, not things, and she filled hers with laughter, adventure, and love.
Her faith remained a steady source of strength and comfort throughout her life and was reflected in the way she treated others and faced challenges with grace. Even during difficult times, Cathy found ways to bring light to those around her, often with a smile or a perfectly timed joke.
Those who knew Cathy will remember her laughter, warmth, and the unmistakable feeling that life was simply better when she was near. She lived fully, loved generously, and leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, humor, and unforgettable memories.
