Clara Marie (Sell) Finkenbinder, 99, Thornton, CO, formerly from Dighton, KS:
Clara was born in Rush Center, KS on September 27, 1920, to Emanuel C. Sell and Emma Erb. She was educated in Rush and Ness County Kansas and was married on March 16, 1943 in Garden City, KS to Dueward E. Finkenbinder. She was the Chief Telephone Operator for the United Telephone Company I Dighton, KS for 17 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church; also, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary for over 50 years. She then moved to Thornton, CO in 2004. She is survived by two sons; Dueward D. (Jo), Thornton, CO and Neal R., (Debbie), Brighton, CO. Four grandchildren; Brooke D. (Keri) Finkenbinder, Evans, GA, Jeremy D. (Bernadette) Finkenbinder, Littleton, CO, Christy A. Finkenbinder-Martin, Brighton, CO, Chane D. (Shawna) Finkenbinder, Keensburg, CO. Along with ten great-grandchildren; Haley and Hannah Finkenbinder, Kristen (Michael), Jared (Emily) and Jacob Finkenbinder, Danielle Thorpe, Devin (Nikki) and Cody (Rachel) Martin, and Cadence and Kali Finkenbinder, and one great-great grand-daughter, Addilyn Rae Martin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Dueward E. Finkenbinder of 43 years, a brother, Roy Sell and sisters, Effie and Freda Schwartz.
A visitation for Clara will take place on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Boomhower Funeral Home in Dighton, Kansas, followed by both her funeral and graveside services the next day at the United Methodist Church, and Dighton Cemetery in Dighton, Kansas. Friends, family and all of those whose lives Clara touched are welcome to attend. Clara Marie lived a long, beautiful life, may she rest in Paradise.
