Clyde David Foss

Clyde David Foss, 68, passed away on Wednesday, February 12th, 2025 in a traffic accident. He was born on January 31st, 1957, in Hazen, North Dakota to Marville and Lucas Foss.

Clyde grew up in Hazen, North Dakota on a family farm. After graduating from Hazen High School, he moved to Dayton, Ohio as well as Tulsa, Oklahoma to obtain a degree in welding.

Clyde was considered a jack of all trades and could do many different jobs. He was a talented and hard-working gentleman.  Over the years he worked in construction and as a welder, building the mining equipment for the TV show "Gold Rush". 

He operated heavy equipment and worked in the oil field. For many years of his employment journey he worked as an over the road truck driver. In 2019, while working for R & L Carriers, he received the prestigious "Mileage Driver of the Month" award presented by Colorado Motor Carriers Association and the Colorado State Patrol.

On September 12th, 1984 he married the love of his life Patti Lynn Foss. They have celebrated 40-plus years of marriage, enjoyed many road trips together, going on motorcycle rides and visiting family in Montana.  

Clyde also loved tinkering in his garage as he called it his "dog house".  He loved his Mastiff puppies, making iron art, and rebuilding motorcycles.  He could make or build anything a person would want. 

Clyde is survived by his wife Patti Foss of Hudson, Colorado; his sister Karen Kappen of Kalispell, Montana, and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Clyde is preceded in death by his Mother (Marville Foss), Father (Lucas Foss), and four brothers (Roger, Allen, Dennis and Curtis).
