Daniel Damian, beloved father, husband, brother, and friend, passed away on November 3rd, 2025, in Lakewood, Colorado, at the age of 63. He was born on May 29th, 1962, in Denver, Colorado. He spent his early years in Ft. Lupton surrounded by his large family.
Dan attended Ft. Lupton High School before continuing his education at Front Range Community College and the Community College of Denver. Throughout his life, he devoted himself to helping and teaching others. He worked with youth and in early childhood education, and later dedicated many years to the skilled trades—repairing homes, businesses, and community gathering places. Dan had a gift for fixing what was broken, not only in buildings but often in people’s hearts as well.
He was the son of the late Jovita Lozoya and David Damian Sr. He is survived by his brothers and sisters David Damian Jr., Donald Damian, Junaita Duran, Delia Lerma, and Diana Morelos. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Dean Damian and Dario Damian.
Dan was the proud father of eight children: Christine Martinez, Theresa Damian, Joseph Damian, Stephanie Damian, Nichole Baros, Cassandra Reveles, Amaressa Damian, and Alyssa Damian. He leaves behind 18 cherished grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy. He is also remembered by his first wife, Sharon Wanczyk, and his current wife, Yolanda Martinez.
Those who knew Dan will always remember his generous spirit. He was the kind of man who would drop everything to help a friend, family member, or even a stranger. Whether a leaky pipe, a broken step, or simply a moment of need, Dan showed up—tools in hand and warmth in his heart. His only payment was often the smile he asked for in return.
Dan loved to laugh and was known for his playful sense of humor. He famously claimed to make a “mean egg,” but if you asked him to cook it, he would grin and say, “Oh, it’s too mean for you!” He enjoyed cheering on his Denver Broncos and Nuggets, relaxing with a cold Corona, and—true to his mischievous nature—We all know Dan loved him some Dan.
Above all, Dan loved his family fiercely. He gave what he had and then gave more, never hesitating to put others first. His life was defined by kindness, love, and a willingness to serve.
Dan Damian will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. His legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will continue to live on through his family and the many lives he touched.
