My mother Deborah Melissa Villalobos, commonly known as Debbie, was born on February 5,1984 in Denver Colorado to Rosa I. Villalobos and Sabino H. Villalobos. She was only 38, the youngest of three siblings. She had been diagnosed with Addison's Disease in 2015, resulting in her passing on January 2, 2023.
She gave birth to her only daughter on February 8, 2003. She always said I was her 19th birthday present since our birthdays are three days apart. She later graduated as a Dental Assistant from Concorde Career Colleges in 2008, continuing her career for over 14 years.
Debbie was an amazing mother, daughter, sister and friend. She spent the majority of her time with the people she loved and more than anyone, me. From the day I was born, we became inseparable, we were each other's best friend. I loved spending countless hours watching vlogs, practicing on her nails or doing her makeup. I'm going to miss her coming into my room everyday after I get home from work, asking if I'm going to play her favorite video game with Matthew and Luke so she can watch. Even when she didn't ask, I always included her because it made me happy seeing her smile as she’s lying comfortably on my bed. As I grew older, we became more like sisters. We had a bond that most kids wouldn't be able to have with their parents, I told her everything. She always let me know that she's not here to judge, only to listen and she always gave the best advice. I will forever cherish those moments.
Debbie loved anything and everything that had to do with nature and being outdoors. Since I can remember we were always outdoors; Camping, traveling and snowboarding. Her disease took away a lot of her happy moments but I’m glad we shared the same hobbies because I will one day be able to pass it onto my kids and let them know grandma taught me everything I know. She loved learning new things, educating the ones around her and making everyone feel welcomed and heard. Her long stories will truly be missed.
My mother will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile, as she always had a smile no matter what she felt internally. She made it a point to always kiss you on the cheek when she greeted you and told you she loved you as farewell. She was and will forever be my inspiration. She was a very loving and independent person who passed that onto me so well. I always thanked her for the way that she raised me. Showing me right from wrong, how to live life to the fullest and make the most of every situation. She was so full of life and definitely the strongest person I know. I’m forever grateful that I got to call Deborah Melissa Villalobos my mother because she’s always been one to look up to. I will forever keep your name alive and continue to give all my thanks to you for every accomplishment, because without you. I am nothing.
You are finally at peace mommy, I’ll take it from here. I'll miss you beautiful.
