Delfino Enos Muniz
Delfino was born in Llano, New Mexico to Delfino and Eleanor Muniz on June 7th, 1948. Delfino was the eldest of three siblings, Emerson, Vivian, and Mikol. Delfino married the love of his life Emma Sandoval on August 13th, 1966, in Denver, Colorado. Together had three beautiful children Desiree, Angel, and Fino. They were married for fifty-five unforgettable years until Emma’s passing on September 27th, 2021. Delfino longed for the day he would be with her again.
Delfino spent most of his life in Brighton, Colorado. He worked at Rocky Mountain Prestress for forty-five years. He built many if the prefabricated walls in Denver as well as City Hall here in Brighton. Delfino took pride in all his work. He was a dedicated and loyal employee who received many awards and certificates throughout his career. He retired from Rocky Mountain Prestress and looked forward to spending time with his wife and grandkids.
Delfino and Emma spent their lives together raising kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Delfino was always known for his plentiful garden. The prize possession of summer was the first tomato from grandpa’s garden. After working all day, he would come home and spend all night pampering his garden. His garden veggies always tasted best, and the love was grown into his garden! Delfino enjoyed taking the family to the mountains. He loved to camp in a tent, fish the river, and drink beers next to the campfire. He was always happy and free in the mountains. Delfino always kept a clean house, and his vehicles waxed. He was a role model dad to many and taught the importance of having pride in all that you do. His word was solid, and you always knew where you stood with him. Delfino may not have always been front and center in all the good that his wife did for others, but he was the backbone behind all of it. He made so many things possible for those he loved. He loved his boy Elijah and found much happiness in seeing him grow. He loved his daughter Desiree and always made her feel loved, she will always be a daddy’s girl. He loved his grandkids, and they loved him! His home was always filled with love.
Delfino is survived by his devoted daughters Desiree Jackson and Sarah Muniz, his son Elijah Muniz, six grandchildren, Emilio (Annamarie), Donna (Mitch), Delfino, Chantelle, Joshua (ShayRea), His son-in-law Josh Lowenstein, and his nine great-grandchildren Isaiah, Josiah, Isaac, Angel, Atreus, Emilio Jr, Jayla, Anson, Christian, Raelyn and two more on the way.
