Denise DeeAnn Vigil, 47 years old of Brighton, Colorado passed away on July 3, 2023, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Denise was born on November 12, 1975, to Dave and Berlinda Vigil in Denver, Colorado.

Denise attended all Brighton schools and Pima Medical Institute.

On July 3, 1993, Denise and Raymond Velasquez welcomed their first child, Breanna. Britney followed on February 16, 1996, and David arrived on June 9, 2000. They were the loves of her life. She was and is so proud of them.

They were her biggest accomplishments. Her legacy will live on through them. Denise was a faithful and loyal employee at Safeway, where she worked as a pharmacy technician for the last 19 years. She made lasting relationships with all of her co-workers and customers. She was beautiful inside and out. She was an avid Colorado sports fan. As a young adult Denise participated in softball and pool leagues and took championships in both. She enjoyed having a good time, dancing, laughing and playing slot machines. In the evening, after a long day of work, she enjoyed watching Days of our Lives and all game shows, specifically The Price Is Right, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune and all true crime shows and documentaries, just like her daddy. Her favorite movies were Dirty Dancing and Grease. But most of all she enjoyed her home, her kids and her yard. She was looking forward to becoming a great-auntie for the first time this December. Last but not least, we can’t forget the special bond she shared with the family dogs, Scooter, Pookie and Benji. As fate would have it Denise and Scooter went to heaven within hours of each other.

She was a wonderful daughter, mother, sister, auntie, niece, cousin, and a true friend.

Denise is preceded in death by her father Dave Vigil and her older brother David Vigil. Her paternal grandparents, Joe & Antonia Vigil. Her maternal grandparents, Valentine & Genevieve Ramirez. Denise is survived by her three children: Breanna Vigil-Velasquez (Elijah), Britney Vigil-Velasquez and David Vigil-Velasquez (Cameron), Mother, Berlinda Vigil, Sister, Celeste Ortega (George), Brother, Jesse Vigil (Leslie) and Niece, Shariah Ortega (Darion).
