Dewey Thomas Mann III (“Tommy”), 46, of Brighton, Colorado, passed away on Saturday, May 9th.
Tommy was born in Cocoa Beach, Florida on March 27, 1980 then moved back to his parents’ hometown of New Hope, Alabama. At 15, he moved with his family to Evergreen, Colorado. Tommy graduated from Evergreen High School in 1998, then attended Art Institute of Colorado.
Tommy loved the outdoors and spending time with his nephews. He was generous with his time, sharing his love of art, enjoying bike rides and playing games, including teaching them to play chess. He was also a tremendous support in caring for his brother Brian, who suffered a traumatic brain injury many years ago. Tommy was an avid artist and photographer, finding beauty and interest in the most simple objects and nature.
Tommy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Milton and Gloria Williams and Dewey Thomas Mann Sr.
Survivors include his parents, Pam and Dewey Mann; brother, Brian Mann; sister, Jenny Kirklin (Seth); nephews, Grant Kirklin, Trevor Kirklin, and Kade Kirklin; his grandmother, Judy Martin; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
