Dorothy M. Monson

Dorothy M. Monson, 83, of Brighton, passed away on October 6, 2010. She was born in Ovid, CO on November 2, 1926 to Benjamin Shearston and Agnes Gerhard. Dorothy was a lifetime resident of Brighton and attended schools in Brighton. She married John Monson on July 16, 1966 in Brighton.

Dorothy worked as a waitress at the Terrace Inn for 20 years. She had a great sense of humor that would allow her to laugh at herself as much, if not more, than others and would always be sure to point out right from wrong. She loved taking trips up the mountain to gamble and she loved her animals. Dorothy was a friend to everyone.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in March of 2003 and her loving dog, Misty.

Dorothy is survived by her children; Jerry (Sharlene) Krantz, Linda (Herb) Gleim, Sharon (Stephen) Wilczek and Debbie (Dave) Lucero, all of Brighton and the surrounding area.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home.

The Family would like to invite everyone to a reception folllowing the service at the Grange, 25501 E. 152nd Ave.
