Duane Lee Rose
Duane Lee Rose was born March 15, 1942, in Rosemont Kansas to Floyd Duane and Ora Lea Rose. He was the 2nd oldest of 4 kids. Duane graduated from Brighton High School in 1960, after high school he worked at his dad’s appliance store, Rose Appliance Center in Brighton. Shortly after his 25th birthday he started his career as an appliance repair man with Xcel Energy (formerly Public Service) where he retired in 2004 after 35 years of service.
Duane married Gloria in 1983 and together they raised their daughters 7 miles outside of Brighton. Duane loved the country life; he had a love for horses and even had a horse out on the track to race. He had horses to ride until it just got too much to take care of. Duane loved family time, after retirement he became the school bus and took kids to school and picked them up. He was a proud papa who attended all of grandchildren’s sporting events, school events, and award assemblies.
Duane is survived by his daughters, Dawn (Joseph) Espinosa, Davetta (Chris) Giron, grandchildren, Justine (Ben Santos) Espinosa, Jonathan Espinosa, Anthony (Tori Morales) Solis, Tristen Giron, and Giovanni Giron. Siblings, Sheryle Dill, Dale (Kathy) Rose, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Floyd & Ora Lea Rose, sister Bethyne Warner, wife, Gloria Rose and grandson Andrew Villegas.
Duane will be missed by all.
