Edwin Bydalek Obituary

Edwin Clarence Bydalek passed away September 7, 2021 from Pancreatic Cancer.

Ed was born June 15, 1960 in Longmont, Colorado to George and Peggy (Neana) Titus Bydalek. The family home was in Fort Lupton, Co. He lived in Ft. Lupton nearly all his life, except for 10 years when he and Michelle lived in Brighton, Co.

He married Debbie (Glover) in 1980 and they divorced in 1986. He then married Michelle Lund Bydalek in 1987. They had a daughter, Ashley. Edwin was also “Dad” to Michelle’s children, Levi Hahn and Nicole (Hahn) Chambers.

Ed was a master tile setter for many years, starting as a helper with his dad. His jobs took him to both coasts of the US, completing work in California and New York. In 1998 Edwin went to work for Rock & Co. with Michelle. He became Vice President of Rock & Co. and was one of the estimators. In 2006 he left Rock & Co. and started his own company, Platte Valley Stoneworks along with Michelle. In 2010 he "semi-retired” but continued to work part time at Ace Hardware in Fort Lupton, Co.

Fishing was one of Ed’s favorite pastimes and he enjoyed going to many of Colorado’s beautiful lakes and rivers to catch fish. He also enjoyed ice fishing in the winter at Granby Reservoir.

Ed will be remembered for his ability to build or repair almost anything. He loved his guns, working in his garage to make furniture, in his office making beautiful stained glass pieces; he even made himself and Michelle sets of golf clubs. He spent a couple years restoring old VW bugs.

Ed and Michelle loved to travel, and visited many countries as they traveled for work or pleasure.

He was preceded in death by his sister Denise, his mother Neana Ashley and father George Bydalek, as well as his step father George Ashley.

Survivors include wife Michelle Lund Bydalek, children Levi Hahn ( Chantal), Nicole Chambers ( Damon) and Ashley Jablonski ( John) as well as four grandchildren
