Elaine Bentien
January 3, 1936 – February 23, 2025
Elaine Bentien, born on January 3, 1936, in South Dakota, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Elaine grew up in South Dakota, where she met and married the love of her life, Don Bentien, in Spencer, South Dakota. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising three daughters and one son. Their journey took them to Colorado, where Elaine devoted herself to her family while also running her own upholstery business.
A natural problem solver, Elaine found joy in fixing things and working on house projects. She took great pride in making a home warm and welcoming, especially during the holidays, when she loved to entertain family and friends. Her greatest joy came from her family, and she was immensely proud of her nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Elaine is survived by her brothers, Ronald and Dennis; her daughters, Lynette (Dary), Lisa (Alan), and LeAnn (Jim) and her son, Michael (Val). She was a beloved grandmother to Emily, Andy, Christopher, Mike, Baylee, Brielle, Kobey, Brooke, and Kelsey, and a cherished great-grandmother to Gwen, Elsie, Lilah, Taytum, and Quinn.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Francis; her sister, Charlotte; and her loving husband, Donald.
Elaine’s legacy of love, determination, and creativity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished.
