Elizabeth M. Howell

Elizabeth M. Howell, 26, of Wiggins passed away on June 21, 2005 in an automobile accident. She was born on September 7, 1978 in Denver, Colorado to Dennis & Helen (Moonen) Hrabe. Liz graduated from Brighton High School in 1996. She married John Howell on July 15, 2000 in Brighton. She worked as a Clerk for Dal Tile Company out of Aurora for the last three years. She participated in the Little Britches Rodeo at the age of 13. She was the Arrowhead Arena Princess in 1988, the Colorado Rodeo "Gymkhana" Princess in 1991. Liz also worked for Arvada Hardwood for 3 years, Brighton School District in 1996 and Adams County Motor Vehicle in 1997. She loved horses and had been riding since the age of 5. She was a member of the FFA at Brighton High School and was the Secretary in 1996. She won her first saddle in 1996. She placed high in numerous events such as Poles, Barrel Racing, Break-Away Calf Roping & Trailhorses. She worked for Lance Milligan in training horses and learning to ride.

Liz is survived by husband John of Wiggins; sons Zach & Austin Howell of Wiggins; parents Dennis & Helen Hrabe of Wiggins; sisters Lisa Hrabe & Reba Hrabe both of Wiggins.

A visitation will be held from 3-8pm on Monday, June 27, 2005 at Tabor Funeral Home in Brighton. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at Brighton United Methodist Church in Brighton. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Brighton.
