Ellanora Loujean Raven, went home to be with the Lord on January 14, 2024. She had been dealing with some health issues and her doctors believe she had ultimately suffered a stroke. Loujean graduated from Unidis High School, in West Milford, WV, Class of 61, and then from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC with a degree in Home Economics. It was at Bob Jones that she met her husband Wesley Raven who proceeded her in death a few years ago. Wes was from the Denver area of Colorado, and they eventually made their home there. They had three children, Walter, Edward and Anne.
Loujean is what a good girl she was, not just putting on a show, but the real deal. She was a genuine good girl. Her family was very fortunate to have had been raised by a such loving, God fearing person in Loujean, and she never strayed from those values. She loved the Lord & strived to faithfully serve Him her entire life. Loujean loved her family, her church & her friends. She loved to camp & fish, and anything crafty, playing games & puzzles, & her trips back to West Virginia.
Loujean is preceded in death by both parents, Walter Winning and Thelma Wright. Along by her husband, Wesley Raven. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Anne L. Raven.
She is survived by and will be missed by her children, Edward (Loida) Raven and Walter (Debra) Raven. Also, by three siblings, Karen Maxwell, Ruthann (Brad) Bradberry, Wanda (Jeff) Riffle, and by many grandchildren (13) and great-grandchildren (7).
It's truly a blessing & a comfort to know that we will see her again in Heaven.
