Emma Muniz (Sandoval) Obituary

Emma Corlinda Muniz (Sandoval)

Emma was one of the most loving wife, mother, nannie, sister, aunt, and friend to all. Emma was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Juan and Annie Sandoval and she was the eighth out of twelve siblings. She was happily married to the love of her life, Delfino Enos Muniz on August 13th, 1966 in Denver Colorado. They together had three beautiful children Desiree, Angel, and Fino. Emma spent the majority of her life in Brighton, Colorado with her family.

Emma received her GED and was very proud of that accomplishment. She went on to be an amazing homemaker and mother to her husband, children, grandchildren, and even great grandchildren. Emma and Delfino loved spending time in the mountains, fishing, and listening to oldies music together. After both of their children started school she became a preschool teacher. Emma and Delfino’s loved being grandparents and raising their grandkids together. Emma and Delfino adopted their great-grandson Elijah who brought them so much happiness and joy in their later years together. She always loved making a difference and helping others. Emma always had compassionate and servant heart.

Emma loved spending her time in her kitchen cooking the best homemade beans, green chile, and tortillas! All of her grandchildren would gather around the stove and wait for the tortillas, they never made it to the table. Emma enjoyed spending time with all of her family together. Her house was always full of laughter and love.  Emma loved God and always put him first and lived her life by the bible, she was a pillar of her church and some of her best memories were made there. She was a Prayer Warrior who led many bible studies and teachings. She loved being in church and fellowshipping with her brothers and sister of God. She always shared her love of Jesus with everyone she encountered. Emma told the best stories and was a gifted writer. Emma’s door was always open to anyone in need and she made an impact on everyone she encountered! She changed so many lives for the better and helped others see their value and purpose in this lifetime. Her grandchildren would have been lost without her.
