Enrique was born in Rancho Guadalupe Guerrero in Palestina, Durango, Mexico to Pablo Guerrero and Carmen del Billar. He was the 5th oldest of 9 siblings. He married the love of his life Margarita “Mague” Guerrero in 1973 and settled in Brighton, CO where they lived together for nearly 50 years before she preceded him in death in July 2023.
Enrique had multiple skills which allowed him to work different jobs in construction and other labor jobs. He frequently traveled to several cities across Colorado and Wyoming for weeks and sometimes months at a time for work. He enjoyed being a mentor to the young adults who worked alongside him.
Enrique loved spending time at family gatherings and celebrations being surrounded by loved ones. Where there was music, you would see Enrique and Mague dancing the night away to all of their favorite music. When he wasn’t at home or at work he was fishing and hunting and often took his grandchildren with him. He really enjoyed riding horses and going to the local horse races in Colorado and in Palestina, Durango when he would visit home. Enrique loved cooking and hosting all of his family, friends, and neighbors at his home he shared with Mague. One of his favorite pastimes was making chicharrones from scratch with his older brother Pablo.
He rarely missed watching a Denver Broncos game. There was never a football day where the Broncos game was not on the tv. You could say he was a superfan by just looking at all the signed memorabilia he had collected throughout the years. He was also a fanatic of the Colorado Rockies but over every team the Denver Broncos were his ultimate favorite.
Enrique is survived by his daughter Veronica and son Paul, along with 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and two siblings Pablo and Tere. He is preceded in death by his wife Mague, both parents, and his siblings Gabino, Imelda, Armando, Idalia, Carmen, and Jaime.
