Eric Macias Obituary

Longtime Brighton, Colorado resident, Eric Lee [Macias] Salazar, Better known as Erik G Salazar or Evxl aka Evxl Knxght was born on June 6th 1986 in Denver Co. to Lisa Ann Pecina and Juan Renee Salazar.

Eric grew up In Brighton Colorado, where he was raised by his grandmother Estela Salazar. During his early years prior to becoming an adult, he made some bad choices that led him on what would become part of who he was. However, Eric did have many accomplishments on this road such as getting his GED while in the Y.O.S. program where he later completed the program. That led him into his early adult years where he reunited with Christine Bruce after knowing her in his early childhood years. The two of them began their journey through life together where he took on the role of becoming a father figure to her daughter Xayla at the age of 4. Soon after they began to extend their family and started having children of their own. Over the years they would welcome four more beautiful babies whom he loved more than life itself.

Eric cherished his family more than anything and loved spending all his free time outside of work with them. He also enjoyed visiting friends and family as he had so many. Everywhere that Eric went he was bound to run into someone he knew whether it was someone he met while incarcerated or someone he knew from the streets. He had a heart of gold and always wanted to help someone get on their feet. It didn't matter if he knew them well or not he always tried to see the good in everyone. Eric was loved by many and he would always say ¨how many men have you heard say I love you to another man¨ well that was him and men always seemed to tell him they loved him and he was sure to say it back.

He was also a very hardworking man and loved what he did for a living in the HVAC industry. He will be remembered for his cheesy smile and the love he had for not only his family but everyone around him. Eric was quite the joker and loved to tease his friends especially about their significant others with comments like ¨I thought we shared girls¨ As well as being the best riddler in town. If you didn't catch what he was saying the first time around then that was your fault.

Eric was preceded in death by his favorite aunty Marta Salazar and his brother Humberto (Bert) Sienz. Eric is survived by his wife Christine of 14 years and their five children, Xanaya 13, Xaliah 11, his only son Xerik 6 and the baby of the family Xarinity 4 as well as his step daughter whom he raised as his own Xayla 19 and Godson Denver 3. He is also survived by his parents and grandmothers Estela Salazar and Mary Pecina, his brothers Joey Covarrubias, Jaun (Gorgy) Covarrubias, Felipe Macias, Randolfo Pecina, Angelo Pecina and two Sisters Rebeca Covarrubias and Vanessa (Pecina) Trusty as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts,  uncles, cousins and friends.
