Erik Ryan Leeka, age 35, passed away on June 6, 2021 in Denver, Colorado. He was born March 17, 1986 to Jerry Leeka and Elizabeth Sibayan, and attended both Chaparral High School and Metropolitan State University, which are both in the Denver area. He graduated High School in 2004.
For labor, Erik held a few different jobs, but was ultimately know as a welder in the construction industry. He also held jobs as an artist and fabricator, at the Coors Brewery, Frontier Airlines, and also at a meat packing plant. He was a jack of all trades but in reality, he was a kind, spiritual soul, whom marched to the tune of his own beat. Erik was very intelligent and would often express that in his paintings and drawings. For you can find a few of his late murals featured on the walls around RINO district in downtown, Denver. Erik was also an avid baseball fan. He both played, coached and watched games as often as he could. Erik loved music! Especially “The Beatles” and “Elliot Smith” and he loved to wander, often coming up with his own adventures and endeavors. Erik was also a giver of life. After he passed away, he donated 3 organs that went to individuals in need, which displays that even in the end, Erik was a loving, caring person.
Erik is survived by both parents; Jerry Leeka and Elizabeth Sibayan. Along by his brother, Andrew Leeka.
