Franklin Gerald Turner passed away April 12,2026. Born in Pratt Kansas on June 24 1950 to Alex Vincent and Mary Imogene. He was the oldest of three siblings. He started working for the Rio Grande railroad in 1973. He always joked that he worked for 3 different railroads but was never fired and never quit working for the first one. He ended up working for the Union Pacific out in the Omaha area for 13 years. He finally got to retire in 2010 and was able to come home to Colorado.
He bought a Chevelle Malibu SS in 73 for 500 dollars, rebuilt the engine on it twice and still enjoyed tinkering on it.
He loved to ski, hike, golf and camp. Even took the kids out of school so we all could ski together.
As he got older the skiing and hiking had to be given up but he continued to play golf and camp. He also enjoyed watching Nascar and playing the racing games on his xbox.
