Gabriel Lee Vigil, age 44, passed away on February 4, 2021 at his residence in Westminster, Colorado. He was born in Denver, Colorado on May 5, 1976 to Pete Vigil and Nadine Chavez. Gabriel grew up and attended schools in the Brighton area, ultimately graduating from Brighton High School when he was a teenager. On August 14, 2010 he then married Angie Nicholson, in Genesee, Colorado, and they were happily together for over 20 years.
For labor, Gabriel was a self-employed painter. He really enjoyed this job for it kept him busy and it was a service he thoroughly enjoyed doing for others. Gabriel also loved to fish, camp and play pool in his off time and he was always good with kids. He had a wonderful personality, and always seemed to make people smile and laugh with his jokes and mannerisms. Gabriel loved watching and playing sports and had a burning love for all of his family members, for his nieces and nephews really adored him! He would light up any room with his presence and will be deeply missed by all of those who knew him.
Gabriel is survived by his mother, Cecilia “Nadine” Chavez, of Lochbuie, Colorado. Along by his wife, Angie Nicholson of Westminster, Colorado. Two children, Terence Hughes, of Boulder, Colorado, and Chelsea (Cristian Varela) Vigil, of Westminster, Colorado. He is also survived by three siblings and one grand-daughter; Monica Muniz, of Henderson, CO, Jeanette Vigil, of Brighton, Colorado, Paul Vigil, of Westminster, Colorado , and Cayha Varela.
