Geannie R. Larsen

Geannie Ruth Larsen, 64, of Lakewood and formerly of Brighton, passed away February 23, 2013 in Lakewood. She was born March 18, 1948 in Norfolk, NE to Arvid and Betty (Petracek) Larsen. She attended Brighton schools and graduated from Brighton High School.

Geannie worked as a Customer Service Representative for Xcel Energy for 33 years, retiring in August 2012. She enjoyed making several trips to Hawaii and spending time in her backyard pool. She loved her dogs and enjoyed spending time with her friends.

She is survived by her children, Ronald Marcus Degenhart of Lakewood, Lonny Ray Degenhart of Brighton and Shantelle Fern Degenhart of Brighton; sisters, Kim Larsen of Littleton and Rosemary (Vincent) McCuley of Montana; brothers, Daniel Larsen and Randy Larsen, both of Lakewood; two grandchildren.

Geannie is preceded in death by both of her parents and one brother, Arvid Larsen, Jr.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 5:00-7:00p.m. at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery in Brighton.
