Geraldine Louise Dechant

Geraldine Louise Dechant, 78, of Evans, Colorado passed away on April 18, 2022 in Greeley, Colorado.  She was born on October 4, 1943 in Brighton to Robert and Agnes (Quint) Storm.  She was a 1961 graduate of Brighton High School.  Geraldine married Clem Dechant and was a homemaker her entire life along with helping on the family farm.

Geraldine loved to quilt and her love of polka music and dance took her and her beloved husband, Clem, across the states following the bands such as "Polka Nuts"; "Sully's Polka",  "Fritzler Band" and "Hal Holmes".  Travel was another favorite pastime and from from 2002 - 2014 they took their fifth-wheel from state to state spending much time in Arizona, their favorite destination.

Survivors include her husband, Clem; sons, Steve (Melanie) of North Carolina, Kevin (Buffie) of Brush, Colorado and Thomas (Jakelyn) of Alaska.  She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Geraldine is preceded by 2 sisters, one brother, and three step siblings.
