Gloria Garcia 

Gloria was born in Trinidad Colorado December 9th, 1946. She was raised in the Denver area and lived in Thornton most all of her life,  the third oldest amongst ten siblings.  On May 26, 1973, she married her best friend and the love of her life, Arthur Garcia.  After 48 years of marriage, Art and Gloria, remained the best of friends and maintained a love and admiration for one another that others could aspire to have.  

Gloria spent her life in the Westminster/Thornton area, raising her children and caring for her husband and family.  She was a cosmetologist for over 40 years and managed her own business providing styling services.  She loved spending time with her entire family, especially during reunions and summer celebrations.  She loved being on her patio visiting with friends and family, enjoying her flowers, especially her pansies.  After her father passed in 2003, Gloria cared for her mother, until she passed in 2006.  She has always been a mother to her entire survived family.  

She loved mystery and investigation television. Homicide Hunter and Lt Joe Kendra were some of her favorites.  She loved games on her IPad regularly keeping several games of Words With Friends going with Erik, which of course she won.  She really enjoyed history and stayed well versed on current events, enjoying long conversations with her brother, Jimmy, discussing them.  She also enjoyed an occasional trip to Las Vegas, regularly playing Hit it Rich on her Ipad.
 
Gloria is survived by her husband, Arthur Garcia; sons, Erik Garcia and Tariq (Hanifah) Al-Mutawakil; 8 grandchildren, Muhammad Al-Mutawakil, Jamillah Al-Mutawakil, Ameera Al-Mutawakil, Alliah Al-Mutawakil, Tariq Al-Mutawakil, Jawaahir Al-Mutawakil, Al-Anood Al-Mutawakil and Al-Juri Al-Mutawakil.

She is also survived by sisters, Ina and Linda (Kevin); brothers, David (Loraine), Tim (Lisa), Steve (Maria) and  Dennis (Kelly); nieces and nephews, Gerald, Phillip, Chris, Caroline (Sonny), Audrey, Johnny (Pete), Ivy, Rebecca, Nicole, James (Jimmy), April Bernadette, Toni, David Jr. (David), Tammy, Geno, Steven (Ina), Steven, Brandon (Steve), Eric, TJ (Tim) Lena, Tisha, Dennis Jr (Dennis), Luke and Michelle (Linda).

Preceded in death by her father, Dan in 2003; mother, Lupita in 2006; brothers, Pete, Dan (Sonny) and Robert (Jimmy).
