Helen Louise Swarts

Helen Louise Swarts, 81 of Hudson, Colorado died Sunday, August 2nd in Thornton, Colorado. She was born March 13, 1939 in Platteville, Colorado to Jesse and Pauline Talbert. She attended school in Platteville, and then married Larry Swarts in 1955 also in Hudson.

Helen worked at Dekalb Farms and also Tagawa Greenhouses until she retired. She had a green thumb and loved to garden. She loved her trips to Blackhawk and listening to records in her record collection. She also had many pets that she loved dearly.

Helen is survived by her Sister; Bonnie (Bill Taylor) Talbert; Brother, Eugene Phillips. Sons; Gerry (Cheryl) Swarts of Thornton, Faron (Brenda) Swarts of Hudson, Leonard (Donna) Swarts of Fort Lupton, and daughter Peggy (Steve) Swarts of Frederick. Along with seven grandchildren; Kristina Kitzman, Stephanie Edwards, Jason Swarts, Kimberly Lassiter, Tiffany Swarts Ferguson, Joshua Swarts and Jenna Nazaryk, and seven great-grandchildren; Kayla, Gavin, Claire, Braxton, Shea, Bryson Jr., and Quinton. She is also survived by Brother-in-laws; David Norfleet, Stanley (Barb) Swarts, Everett (Kim) Swarts. Sister-in-laws; Delores (Steve) Taylor, Phyllis (Kenny) Dever along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Helen is preceded in death by both parents; Jesse and Pauline Talbert. By her husband; Larry Swarts. Sister; Janice Norfleet. Along with her brothers; Larry, Charles and Leroy Talbert.

A memorial service will be held on August 21st at 1:00 PM at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home. Due to COVID regulations only 50 people are allowed to attend services.
