Illa J. Woodard

Illa Woodard, 69 of Fort Lupton, Colorado passed away peacefully at her home on July 6, 2021 after a 25 year battle with cancer.

Illa was born on August 30, 1951, the first child of LeRoy and Frances Wagoner. She attended Leoville Grade School and then graduated from Hoxie High School with the class of 1969. After high school she attended one year at Northwest Kansas Technical School for mechanical drafting.

In 1970 she moved to Denver, Colorado and then to Fort Lupton, Colorado.

Illa met Dennis Woodard in 1986 and they married on September 30, 1989.

She worked at Deep Rock Water in Fort Lupton for many years and then in December 2005 she took a position at the Bank of Colorado and was employed there until her death. Her work at the bank brought her great joy, not only with the customers she met and became longtime friends with but with the many co-workers she dearly loved.

She is survived by her step-son Brad Woodard of Monticello, Utah and step-daughter Renae Tinsley of Monticello, Utah; two brothers Jerold Wagoner and wife Stacy of Haxtun, Colorado and Edward Wagoner and wife Marjorie of New Castle, Wyoming; two sister, Sandra Cline and husband Randy of Protection, Kansas and Donna Reiss and husband Val of Weskan, Kansas. Also, many much loved nieces and nephews and friends

Illa was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dennis Woodard in 2018; her parents and her brother and sister, twins Lyle and Linda. 

Memorial service will be held on Saturday July 17, 2021 at 10:00 AM MT at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home, 75 S. 13th Ave. Brighton, Colorado

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to UCHealth,NOCO foundation. The memorials will go to the Oncology department.
