Iva Eileen McPeek

Iva Eileen Mcpeek, 88, passed away May 2nd 2022.  Iva was born February 28, 1934 in Craig, Colorado to Daniel Bryan Chamberlain and Margret Ellen Pitman.  She grew up on the family homestead near Craig, Colorado, as well as in Golden and Ft. Lupton.  She spent her adult life living in Hudson, Co.  She was class valedictorian of Ft. Lupton High School graduating class of 1952.  She married Harvey Newton McPeek Jr. on December 10th, 1953.  While raising six children as homemaker, she also worked as a seamstress and cake decorator. Later in life she attended Aims Community College. She then worked as a clerk at the United States Postal service in Hudson, Colorado as a clerk until retirement.

During her full life she focused her energy on family and Church.  She was a member of the Methodist Church in Hudson, Colorado.  She had many good friends there and enjoyed Church responsibilities.  She was a member of the American Dahlia Society.  She enjoyed her hobbies of the family farm, bee keeping, gardening, family camping trips and family dinners.

She is preceded in death by her husband Harvey McPeek , both Parents, sisters; Margret (Chamberlain) Rossi and Doris (Chamberlain) Bobo, Her brothers; George Chamberlain and Alan Chamberlain and her daughter Sharon Marquette.

She is survived in death by sister Helen (Chamberlain) Landess of Denver, brother David Chamberlain of Seattle, Washington. Sons; Daniel ( Judy) McPeek of Lakewood, Craig (Ana ) McPeek of Hudson  and John ( Dionne ) McPeek,  Castle Rock and daughter Iva (Roy ) Richter of Loveland.

 Memorial services will be at Fort Lupton Methodist Church on (TBD). Her ashes will be placed next to her husband Harvey at Fort Logan at a later date.
