James Robert Barclay, 80, of Fort Lupton, Colorado passed away on April 21, 2021.
James was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and he was the eldest child born to James and Eileen (Garrison) Barclay. James graduated from Lakewood High School in 1959 where he was a Division 4 wrestler and member of the track team. After graduation, he attended the Colorado School of Mines.
James became a master electrician working on major projects such as the Eisenhower Tunnel and Denver International Airport. He received his “50 Year” service pin from Local Electrician Union, Local 68.
James spent most of his life in Fort Lupton. He enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, boating, riding motorcycles and he loved trains.
He was married to Justina (Lugo) Barclay. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Bruno; granddaughters, Ashley O’Neal, Sarah Wilson; great granddaughters, Aubrey, Gracie, Tessa and Gwen O’Neal, as well as, Abbigail Wilson; and sisters; Norma and Joan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, David Barclay.
